Tutorial 1: Surreal Room 3/16/17
The first mini tutorial was definitely the hardest, there's too many steps. I learned how to use different commands for example, the move tool, the paintbrush, the marquee tool, and how to transform an image. It was at first fun to experiment with the different commands, and also because I wanted to see if I could figure it out. In the end I asked for help, definitely do not try to do this by yourself unless you took really good notes, and if your smart. The main problem I had was changing the canvas size, which was kind of the first step so I was screwed since the begging. It was fun doing the steps, when you knew the steps were right. It was a good experience, I learned tools that I could use in the future.
Tutorial 2: Changing the Color and Repeating Shapes 3/21/17
In this tutorial I learned how to change the color, saturation, and the lightness/darkness of a picture. This tutorial was by far the easiest of all. The picture reminds me, and it looks similar to Andy Warhol's work. It gives this pop, or boom like wow look at these colors!! The most difficult part of this tutorial was the sizing of the picture, I had to resize it multiple times because all six wouldn't fit in the canvas. I was really looking into what colors go well with each other, I just went with whatever came out, then with brighter colors I increased the lightness, while for the more calm or simple colors I decreased it. Overall I had fun experimenting, it was a an interesting tutorial.
Tutorial 3: Photo Tint Project 3/24/17
This tutorial was overall my favorite tutorial, because it was simple yet hard. We first picked a photo of our choice and turned it black and white which was the easy part. Then we had to decide where to add color to the picture to create the mood of the piece, now that was difficult to decide. It took me a while to decide where to add color in, I was mainly stuck in between the background and Sehun's glasses or his shirt and his glasses. In the end I decided to go with shirt and his glasses. I chose it because his shirt and his glasses are on the same line (if you were to put a horizontal line in the middle? they would be on the same line??) and because his glasses and the background were similar colors (it was pink) and if I decided to do those two, that would be boring. I had fun with this project, I experimented with a lot of tools, and found new ways to do things.
ps: you should most definitively listen to EXO, Oh Sehun here is my bias wrecker but I really like Zhang Yixing IDK why I didnt chose him for the picture, ooops:B
